Vacation

Todd and I took a road trip over to Destin, FL for a weekend vacation and to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We really had a good time just being together and hanging out. It rained everyday, but we managed to make the best of it!

How did we ever find anything with a GPS? This is the best invention ever!

The long stretch of I-10. Ugh....so boring. However, we did talk and laugh alot!

Satelite Radio made it a little easier. Again, what did we do without this?

We had to stop in Tallahassee and visit FSU. Todd graduated from there in 2000 and loves to go back and visit. We went to Bill's Bookstore and bought new team gear. Todd got a shirt and I got pajama bottoms. Go Noles!

We had our anniversary dinner at The Fisherman's Wharf. It sits right on the Bay in Destin. The rain stopped long enough for us to sit outside. We had a HUGE meal. Cheese Sticks for an appetizer, Salads, Snow Crab for the entre' with veggies and a baked potatoe, and Chocolate Lava Cheesecake for desert. YUM-O! After a meal that big a walk on the beach is a must! Saturday morning we went to breakfast at Another Broken Egg in Sandestin. Then we went walkng around all of the little shops. AH, there was so much shopping to be done! The next picture was taken under an awning in front of a store. We were out walking and it started raining AGAIN....hince the crazy hair! :)
All throughout Sandestin (which is a very ritzy area) people were driving golf carts like the one in the next picture. The one pictured below is a Hummer. We also saw one that looked like a Jeep and a Mercedes. Crazy, huh?

We got to go to dinner Saturday night with all of my family that lives in Destin. It was wonderful to hang out and see everyone.

We were supposed to go out on the boat with Dean and Kelly on Saturday but it RAINED. ugh. Maybe next time.

We are planning on going back in September or October....after peek season. I can't wait...
