I am in awe of our great God! He has given me the desire of my heart. He has truly made all things new. I look back at the past season in mine and Todd's life and see that it was all for a purpose. I can honestly say I would not change it for anything. It was worth the wait to have His best for us.
We are in a new season. A happy season. A season full of life and love.
I have had a blogging hiatus lately. I have debated doing several things with it. I even tried doing a blog about Foster Care. About the time I got that up and going we really felt like God was saying we wouldn't be doing that much longer... and He was right. Imagine that! :) All of the indecision caused me to back off.
I look at this blog as gathering of my thoughts and emotions as we walked through infertility. I'm not on that journey anymore. Now I'm a mommy. My thoughts and emotions about being a mommy don't belong on this blog. They deserve a new, clean, happy place to be written down!
I've really missed blogging and have a whole lot blog about now days! I decided to start a new blog to journal my thoughts as a mommy of our adopted family. If you would like to follow us on our new journey, you can find us over here at Hair Bows and Blue Jeans. I will be posting almost daily, even if it is just adding a picture!
God is good all the time and all the time God is good!

Hannah-Lu
My little Hannah is the sweetest thing. She is becoming more and more comfortable in our little family everyday. These were some sweet moments I caught on video as we walked through Lowes!

Summer Fun
My little Water Babies love the pool and beach! We go at least once a week to one or the other... and sometimes both!

Real Family
I was outside playing with the kids today when G-man (the 4 1/2 yo foster boy we have) walked up and said he had a surprise for me. Usually this means he has some sort of bug in his hand and he wants to see me scream and run! This time he pulled out a little purple flower. After I made a big deal over it and pinned it in my sweater he said, "There! Now we're a real family!".
I immediately cried.

This little boy is so wanting to belong somewhere and although Todd and I make EXTRA sure that he is included in everything just as much as our own are, this little moment reminded me that he still knows the difference between permanent and temporary. It breaks my heart.

My First Mother's Day
This whole weekend my heart has been so full. Not because I was being celebrated by my family, but because I was so aware of God's goodness to me and Todd. God is beginning the conclusion of our journey and it is amazing to sit back and watch. This weekend was a sweet celebration of that journey.
I LOVE BEING A MOMMY! I love saying, "I'm a mommy"! What a miracle!

Me and my girls having breakfast at Beach Hut!

Aunt Barb helped the kids make these super adorable treasures!

My favorite is the card Todd took time to write!

Easter 2011
Our first Easter with the kids was a hugs success! We spent the weekend hanging out with family, had 4 Easter egg hunts, ate tons of candy, and most of all (above all the fluff and stuff)....
The kids can tell you the Easter story: Jesus died for our sins and then rose again! (Or as Hannah puts it "He ain't dead no more"!)
Here's a few of the 10 billion pictures I took this weekend!
